About The Timber Trail
The Timber Trail runs from Ongarue to Pureora through the Pueroa Forest and provides some 85 km of cycling pleasure through magnificent native forest, across deep gorges (all bridged), along historic bush tramways and through the Ongarue tunnel and spiral. The majority of the trail is in Pureora Forest Park. See the DOC Timber Trail brochure below.
The Timber Trail is one of 21 cycle trails developed as part of Nga Haerenga – The New Zealand Cycle Trail.
